My three tips for business success are:
- Review (or set-up) processes in your business: It doesn’t matter the size of your business, your processes need to be developed and reviewed regularly for efficiency and effectiveness. This doesn’t mean creating more paperwork. Through my operational experience, streamlining processes can be a really effective way for business to save time and money as well as get employees involved in improving operational performance.
- Be prepared for change: Today the business world is so dynamic you need to keep up to date with technological, regulatory and social changes in case your industry is the next one to be disrupted. From my experience with changes in environmental regulations, working with people with the right skills and experience ensures you keep up to date with changes.
- Think outwards: The days of business success only focused on profits or share prices have gone. True business success is much more holistic which includes developing lasting relationships with customers or clients, ensuring fulfillment of employees and actioning opportunities for community and environmental improvement. These are the underlying values of my business and the businesses that I enjoy working with.
